ABOUT THE PROGRAM

The Pharmacy Technician Program accepts approximately 14 students per course. Students will learn through a combination of classroom instruction and hands-on training in a realistic pharmacy setting. To provide a more tactile learning environment, Kilgore College has partnered with PioneerRx Pharmacy Software. Using this pharmacy management system, students can experience the everyday functions and situations that occur in a pharmacy. Students completing the Pharmacy Technician training will test for the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification.
