Write Your Future is Kilgore College’s Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) developed to satisfy requirements for KC’s reaffirmation of accreditation by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). Every 10 years, KC must implement a five-year plan to improve student learning outcomes and/or student success. Since it was approved by the SACSCOC on-site team that visited KC in Fall 2018, the QEP officially kicked off in the fall of 2019.Â
The QEP is focused on the improvement of student writing. The program recognizes the importance of good writing skills for students, both during their academic journey and throughout their future professional careers. Through various workshops, seminars, and individualized support, the QEP aims to provide Kilgore students with the knowledge, skills, and tools they need to become proficient writers and communicators. By doing so, the QEP is ultimately helping to prepare students for the real world, where strong writing abilities are increasingly in demand in many fields of work.
