Registration is underway at Kilgore College for a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselors (LCDCs) conference set for Friday, March 28, on the Kilgore campus.
Deadline to register for the conference is March 9.
Set for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Devall Ballroom, participants will engage in discussions on emerging trends in substance use, evidence-based treatment approaches and strategies for fostering interdisciplinary collaboration.
Through interactive learning and real-world case studies, attendees will gain valuable insights into enhancing service delivery and promoting recovery-oriented systems of care. Join us in empowering communities through education, advocacy, and professional growth.
The conference will offer seven hours of continuing education units (CEUs) for licensed chemical dependency counselors, social workers and licensed professionals.

About Substance Abuse Counseling courses at KC:
Kilgore College offers an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Substance Abuse Counseling which can be completed in two years and provides the educational foundation required by the Texas Department of State Health Services to pursue a credential as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC). The program includes both face-to-face and online classes as well as a structured supervised practicum in an approved off-campus training site during the last semester of course work. Students who successfully complete the program will be prepared to begin the 4,000 hours of required supervised work to become an LCDC.
